About the role
- Maintain expertise in optical networking technology
- Maintain a current understanding of client needs, market dynamics and regulatory environments
- Develop a deep understanding of the Verizon optical portfolio
- Design optical networking solutions for our clients
- Help Verizon sales team effectively position our capabilities and solutions
- Provide a “voice of the customer” perspective to our Product and Networking teams
- Create and maintain standard design guidelines for our optical networking solutions
- Lead a team of Principal Architects with optical networking expertise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required
- Expert knowledge of optical transport technology
- Product and partner management experience
- Outstanding cross-functional and team leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead high visibility, high impact projects under pressure with initiative and minimal supervision
- Ability to create short and long-term strategies
- Demonstrate strategic and analytical capabilities
