Responsible for understanding the customer need and market requirements, formalizing the value proposition of our product, integrating a product strategy across multiple geographies, and finding opportunities to strengthen current market position.
Responsible for product category P&L and outcomes.
Identifies products’ defining features and value drivers throughout the supply chain.
Works with other members of the organization to consolidate insights and inform how our current and future products go to market.
Develops, executes, and adjusts the vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with revenue goals, market trends, and customer needs for an assigned product category.
Serves as a product and market subject matter expert for the business.
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that gain market penetration, grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
Assists in the planning and execution of product development trials and commercial customer demonstrations/pilots, including photo/video asset collection, and results summarization.
Assists in the development of the yearly budget to plan and execute future product development for an assigned product category.
Assists in the development of a repository for product data, competitive landscape and insights, and translation of market requirements into technical specifications.
Prioritizes product features and communicates product value to key stakeholders.
Conducts product, market, and value proposition training for marketing and sales.
Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product initiatives by market.
Develops sales materials, go-to-market strategy, and defining product value proposition by market for assigned product category, with the support of Marketing.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree
Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, marketing, product or R&D roles
Knowledge of technical marketing, managing R&D, pre-commercial and commercial trials/demonstrations
Knowledge of biology, plant physiology, postharvest physiology, food safety and fresh food and flower packaging preferred but not required
Experience in business development or writing customer-facing sales support materials
Strong understanding of product management principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
