About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all core accounting functions
- Own the global close and consolidation process
- Lead all external financial reporting
- Oversee stock administration and equity accounting
- Establish and improve internal controls and accounting policies
- Drive systems and process improvements across accounting and payroll
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders for budgeting and forecasting
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership
- Manage relationships with external auditors
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP
- Proven experience overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of equity and stock-based compensation accounting
- CPA required
- Experience in biotech, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries preferred
