About the role
- Proactively research and identify potential clients, industries, and markets to uncover new business opportunities
- Initiate contact with prospects through cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach to introduce Velir’s services and offerings
- Engage in discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, assess fit, and gather key information
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all interactions and prospect details in Salesforce to effectively manage the sales pipeline
- Partner closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads and alignment on messaging
- Provide prospects with clear, timely information about Velir’s offerings and respond to initial questions
- Receive mentorship and professional development from senior members of the Business Development team
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in growth marketing, sales, or business development
- Proven ability to work proactively, with strong self-motivation and independence
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
- Resilient, positive attitude with strong active listening skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication across multiple channels
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with sales metrics and KPIs, with the ability to track progress and meet performance targets
- Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to support sales activities
- Frequent sitting at a desk performing work on a computer
- Light travel required
