About the role
- Build new features for the REST API and data processing engine using Typescript and Python/Spark, deployed on AWS.
- Work alongside senior developers, architects, and QA to implement features and enhancements.
- Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to ensure a high-quality codebase.
- Contribute to improving the performance and scalability of the platform.
- Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like Terraform and Serverless Framework.
- Set up development environment, provision AWS infrastructure, and resolve client issues during onboarding.
- Take ownership of features from implementation through deployment and support production issues.
- Participate in architecture, design discussions, demos, and cross-functional collaboration with designers and product managers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development roles, with a focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (preferably Python and/or Typescript).
- Experience building REST APIs and data processing engines.
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, DDB).
- Experience with large data processing and application scalability using Apache Spark and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD (Terraform, Serverless Framework).
- Experience automating deployments and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
- English communication skills B2 level or higher.
- Ability to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours and adjust working hours as needed.
