About the role
- Technical implementation lead primarily responsible for owning instrumentation and configuration of Amplitude Analytics
- Own end-to-end instrumentation including planning, configuration, validation, reporting, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Lead conversations with developers, marketers, and product teams
- Collaborate on event taxonomy, naming conventions, and data modeling
- Validate data integrity and troubleshoot implementation issues
- Create technical documentation for cross-functional and future use
- Drive the implementation, configuration, and rollout of Customer.io and Ninetailed
- Design and evolve the dataLayer to support analytics and personalization
- Orchestrate data flow between GTM, Amplitude, CDPs, Customer.io, and other systems
- Collaborate closely with the strategic lead to align on client goals and drive independent execution
- Work hands-on with GA4 and GTM implementations and support adjacent configurations to ensure data is actionable and validated
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in analytics and technical implementation
- End-to-end Google Analytics 4 (GA4) implementation including event design, enhanced ecommerce, GTM deployment, and troubleshooting
- Reporting and analysis capabilities: build meaningful dashboards, configure audiences, and interpret data insights
- Advanced Google Tag Manager (GTM) use including custom tags, complex variable logic, and JavaScript for data collection
- Experience structuring and evolving a dataLayer to support analytics and activation needs
- Able to work across systems and guide how data should flow between platforms (GTM, Amplitude, CDPs, Customer.io, etc.)
- Skilled at producing technical documentation that supports implementation, onboarding, governance, and platform usage
- Systematic in testing and troubleshooting implementations; ensure data quality and validate across tools
- Experience with Amplitude Analytics (nice to have)
- Hands-on use of Customer.io, Ninetailed, or other personalization and marketing automation tools (nice to have)
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or other enterprise analytics platforms (nice to have)
- Experience with martech tools including CDPs, CRMs, or consent management platforms (nice to have)
- Previous agency or consulting experience (nice to have)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)
