About the role
- Lead the planning and development of an advanced cable infrastructure supporting a large DoD IT infrastructure program providing a common view for all enterprise-wide users
- Perform site visits to collect and evaluate telecommunications and building technologies systems, equipment, components, and materials
- Maintain Inside Plant cable infrastructure including conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and associated components
- Develop EIPs for installation of cable racks, wiring of racks, and testing during installation
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and technologies for telecommunications and building technologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to implement cable infrastructure designs
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience as an RCDD
- 3+ years of experience as a senior or lead RCDD in planning and designing cable infrastructure in a cleared DoD environment
- Performed site visits for data collection and evaluation of telecommunications and building technologies systems, equipment, components, and materials for projects with and without well-defined scopes
- Maintained Inside Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and all associated components
- Developed EIPs required for installation of cable racks, wiring of racks, and testing required during installation
- Demonstrates current knowledge on codes and technologies appropriate to telecommunications and building technologies and the design/construction industry
- Demonstrated outstanding mathematics and IT abilities
- BISCI RCDD certification required
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
