Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the extended accounting team
Collaborate effectively with the Americas management team and maintain strong working relationships with peers at Valentino Headquarters in Milan
Manage a variety of vendor relationships related to governmental agencies, auditors, banks, insurance, etc.
Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for USA, Canada and Mexico entities
Review and validate journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
Monitor and analyze month-over-month variances
Ensure compliance with internal controls, and audit standards throughout the close cycle

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA (plus)
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within luxury, fashion, retail, or consumer goods environments
Solid expertise in IFRS and US GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting within a multi-entity or multinational organization
Strong knowledge of retail and wholesale accounting, including revenue recognition, inventory, COGS, and intercompany transactions
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S4H and Tagetik); advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Demonstrated ability to manage complex close processes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and clearly communicate insights to senior stakeholders
High level of attention to detail, discretion, and professional integrity, aligned to luxury brand values.
