About the role
- Define and execute USP’s regional strategy for Latin America
- Identify growth opportunities for standards adoption, reference materials, training programs, and partnerships.
- Lead high-level engagement with health authorities, regulators, ministries of health, and trade associations across LATAM.
- Own revenue growth, cost control, and financial sustainability responsibilities for the LATAM region.
- Oversee regional operations ensuring regulatory compliance, quality systems, and risk management.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams across multiple countries.
- Develop strategic partnerships and collaboration with Regulatory Agencies, Pharma Industry, and Academia.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Public Health, Business, or related field (MBA or PhD preferred).
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior management responsibility in Latin America.
- Demonstrated experience in regulated environments (pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or public health).
- Proven P&L management and experience leading complex, multi-country operations.
- Deep understanding of LATAM regulatory frameworks, health systems, and market dynamics.
- Fluency in Portuguese, English and Advanced Spanish required.
