About the role
- Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
- Drive Sales Success: Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
- You will do this through delivering impactful sales presentations and tailoring your sales approach to individual customers.
- Effective time and territory management is critical.
- Team Based Selling: Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- You’ll also work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases.
- Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
- Competitive Advantage: Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
- Stay on the Move: Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
