About the role

  • Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
  • Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers
  • Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems during the order process
  • Know market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
  • Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
