About the role
- Leads and drives the Coding Operations teams across all assigned regions, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant professional fee anesthesia coding.
- Directs daily operations, implements process improvements, and oversees team performance to optimize revenue cycle outcomes.
- Provides operational leadership in collaboration with Regional Senior Coding Managers.
- Ensures quality and compliance by adhering to coding guidelines and participating in audits.
- Supports strategic and process improvement initiatives by maintaining and developing coding playbooks and workflows.
- Partners with business development teams to ensure coding workflows support operational objectives.
- Monitors and reports on coding KPIs and develops data-driven workplans to improve performance.
- Collaborates with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), IT, providers, billing, and other RCM functions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in billing/collections/coding experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent commensurate professional experience required.
- 10+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred.
- Professional coding certification (I.e., CPC, CCS-P) required.
- Professional fee anesthesia experience required.
- Proficient in hospital electronic health records and coding documentation guidelines.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
