About the role
- Handle a docket of personal injury cases, often $500K–$3M+
- Manage discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial prep
- Negotiate settlements and take cases to trial (first or second chair)
- Mentor junior attorneys on peripheral cases where relevant
- Lead strategy, prep, and negotiations; control case strategy and earnings
- Build your book and pursue partnership track; revenue generation (5% of settlements)
Requirements
- Active CA Bar license
- 5+ years litigating PI cases
- Strong track record of settlements and/or trial outcomes
- Entrepreneurial mindset—wants ownership, not just hours
