About the role

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders, managers, and employees in Finland and across global functions.
  • Own and improve HR operational processes for Finland+ (Finland and selected geographies / EOR arrangements).
  • Serve as the country subject-matter expert for Finnish employment practices, ensuring people programs, systems, and processes are compliant and scalable.
  • Act as the link between our Finnish employee base and global People programs, bringing local insights into global design and ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design, talent, performance, compensation, and employee relations, helping teams navigate change and make sound, and balanced people-business decisions.
  • Combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to design and deliver people solutions, using data and insight to anticipate and address people-related risks and challenges.
  • Together with the team continuously improve end-to-end HR lifecycle processes (on/offboarding, job and compensation changes, internal mobility) and localized SOPs and templates, ensuring compliance with Finnish labor law and alignment with global standards.
  • Support continuous dialogue practices and act as the primary escalation point for complex employee cases in Finland, interpreting and applying Finnish employment and labor law and partnering with Legal and global peers to manage risk across countries.
  • Facilitate performance management, calibration, and talent reviews, and connect Finland to global L&D and growth opportunities.
  • Safeguard HR data quality, contribute to HRIS and tools projects, and use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Role-model a strong team-first mentality in the Finland People team and with global HR peers; coach managers, share knowledge generously, and help build a collaborative, inclusive culture that reflects Oura’s values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, law, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. A Master’s, MBA, or HR certification is a plus.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner and/or HR Operations expert in growing, global or multi-site organizations.
  • Expert-level, hands-on knowledge of Finnish employment and labor law, including collective agreements, co-operation and continuous dialogue requirements, working time rules, statutory benefits, holiday accrual/pay, GDPR in the HR context, and core payroll processes.
  • Experience interpreting and applying labor law in complex situations (e.g., reorganizations, terminations, co-operation procedures, cross-border arrangements) and translating legal requirements into practical guidance for leaders.
  • Proven experience owning and improving HR lifecycle processes and documentation (SOPs, templates, policies).
  • Strong understanding of core HR domains: organizational design, talent and performance management, compensation, and change management, including in an international context.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, HiBob, BambooHR or similar) and related tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret data, identify patterns, and turn insights into concrete actions.
  • Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, managers, employees, and global stakeholders, often without formal authority.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, mixed office/remote environment, ideally in tech, health tech, or a similar domain.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and handle both strategic topics and hands-on execution.
