About the role
- Plan, execute, and monitor software development projects from initiation to closure
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and business analysts
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and provide regular project status updates
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)
- Lead project meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives
- Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies and testing frameworks
- Develop test plans, test cases, and testing procedures for software applications
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development cycle
- Establish and maintain quality metrics, standards, and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards
- Manage defect tracking and resolution processes
- Perform risk-based testing and prioritize testing activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in software project management
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems and defect management processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Bonus: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
