About the role

  • Provide 3rd line escalation support and solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Develop, test, and maintain bespoke custom scripts to address customer requirements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to platform infrastructure and performance.
  • Document processes, solutions, and best practices to support team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Support and Development, to implement solutions.

Requirements

  • SQL Fundamentals: Basic understanding of SQL and experience with any relational database.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL is a bonus, but candidates with experience in other SQL systems and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages. Experience with Perl is helpful, but not required — candidates with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages who are comfortable learning new tools will thrive.
  • Ability to write simple scripts or automate small tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tickets effectively, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Clear and thorough documentation of troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
