About the role
- Provide 3rd line escalation support and solutions to complex technical issues.
- Develop, test, and maintain bespoke custom scripts to address customer requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to platform infrastructure and performance.
- Document processes, solutions, and best practices to support team knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Support and Development, to implement solutions.
Requirements
- SQL Fundamentals: Basic understanding of SQL and experience with any relational database.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL is a bonus, but candidates with experience in other SQL systems and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to scripting or programming languages. Experience with Perl is helpful, but not required — candidates with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages who are comfortable learning new tools will thrive.
- Ability to write simple scripts or automate small tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
- Ability to manage and prioritise tickets effectively, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
- Clear and thorough documentation of troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
