About the role

Organizational responsibility for planning, producing and timely submission of high-quality international scholarly publications
Leading the editorial process
Identifying, initiating and maintaining contacts with leading researchers and scholars
Independently calculating budgetary requirements and conducting negotiations with publishers
Planning and organising events to increase the visibility of the publications
Developing the publication strategy and shaping the profile of the publication series

Master’s degree and relevant administrative experience
Professional experience in office management (preferably in an academic/university context)
Excellent MS Office skills (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
Experience in editing academic publications
Experience with peer-review procedures: identifying suitable reviewers and managing the review process
Experience with the requirements of open-access publications
Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
Desired: Doctorate (PhD) in a humanities or social science discipline
Desired: Experience with online submission platforms used by academic journals
