Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field prior to the commencement of the appointment
- Evidence of significant research accomplishments
- Commitment to effective teaching
- Excellent communication skills
- Research expertise in solid mechanics, materials science, or other complementary research areas (desired)
- Higher education teaching experience (desired)
- Demonstrated success in procuring research funding (desired)
- Ability to collaborate with faculty within the department and across departments (desired)
- Must be available to work on campus
- Work authorization sponsorship is available
