About the role
- Provide professional administrative support to School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences degree programmes
- Support teaching (in-person and digital) and assessment processes for multiple courses
- Engage with undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, course organisers and the academic community
- Work as part of the wider Teaching Organisation team and collaboratively with Student Services
- Contribute to overall student support across their time with the School
- Based in Dugald Stewart Building (Central Campus) with opportunities for informal hybrid working arrangements
- Support administrative tasks for course administration and student systems; liaise with staff and students
Requirements
- Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 2/3, ONC or equivalent) plus relevant work experience; or school education to Standard Grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise a demanding workload as part of a collaborative team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; friendly, helpful, approachable and confident manner towards students and staff
- Pro-active approach to seeking out information to deal with enquiries from staff and students
- Competent and proven digital and IT skills; Microsoft Office applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel – including Office 365 and SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, email, web
- Experience of University student administration and student systems, including course administration (highly desirable)
- Right to work in the UK required; University unable to sponsor a Skilled Worker visa for this role
- Full time availability (35 hours per week)
