About the role

  • Direct and coordinate the operations of the business unit
  • Design and implement strategies, policies, and commercial actions in accordance with the business’s growth objectives
  • Secure new clients and products that generate higher margins
  • Establish contact with trade chambers, clients, and associations
  • Manage supervisors and day‑to‑day operations in distribution, production, transportation scheduling, and chemical handling
  • Generate the budget for their area of expertise and follow up with their team
  • Establish guidelines and actions that ensure customer service and support levels
  • Provide the necessary data to generate required reports
  • Develop the market and optimize sales by carefully managing price negotiations
  • Conduct negotiations with national and international clients

Requirements

  • Degree in chemistry, biology, food science or similar is a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in pharma or food chemical sales in the distribution or manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing a sales team with a regional scope
  • Advanced english skills
  • Availability to travel
