About the role
- Direct and coordinate the operations of the business unit
- Design and implement strategies, policies, and commercial actions in accordance with the business’s growth objectives
- Secure new clients and products that generate higher margins
- Establish contact with trade chambers, clients, and associations
- Manage supervisors and day‑to‑day operations in distribution, production, transportation scheduling, and chemical handling
- Generate the budget for their area of expertise and follow up with their team
- Establish guidelines and actions that ensure customer service and support levels
- Provide the necessary data to generate required reports
- Develop the market and optimize sales by carefully managing price negotiations
- Conduct negotiations with national and international clients
Requirements
- Degree in chemistry, biology, food science or similar is a plus
- 5 to 10 years of experience in pharma or food chemical sales in the distribution or manufacturing industry
- Experience managing a sales team with a regional scope
- Advanced english skills
- Availability to travel
