About the role

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining sector and develop new business opportunities.
  • Increase Univar Solutions' presence by prospecting and acquiring new clients.
  • Understand the technical and regulatory issues that influence purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting, service and follow-up with internal teams.
  • Participate in industry events to enhance the company's visibility.
  • Conduct client visits, negotiate contracts and close profitable agreements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Update the opportunities pipeline and customer information in Salesforce.
  • Meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to product managers.
  • Keep product knowledge up to date and monitor portfolio developments.
  • Stay informed of any changes or updates to the portfolio.
  • Keep abreast of the constantly evolving market.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, mineral processing, chemical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of account management or sales experience in the mining sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Asset: experience in technical sales or technical knowledge of the chemical industry.
  • Dynamic, autonomous, passionate and customer-oriented individual.
