About the role

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining sector and develop new business opportunities.
  • Increase Univar Solutions' presence by prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Understand the technical and regulatory issues that influence purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting, service, and follow-up activities with internal teams.
  • Participate in industry events to enhance the company's visibility.
  • Conduct customer visits, negotiate contracts, and close profitable agreements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within your territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Keep the opportunity pipeline and customer information up to date in Salesforce.
  • Meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to product managers.
  • Keep product knowledge current and monitor portfolio developments.
  • Stay informed of ongoing market changes.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

  • University degree and a minimum of two (2) years of confirmed professional experience as an Account Manager.
  • Sales experience in the industrial sector would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong passion for building relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to present to and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with computer tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is considered an asset.
  • Must be bilingual (French-English).
