About the role
- Lead a team of warehouse operators and oversee maintenance of the warehouse and tank yard
- Supervise mixing operations and filling of products into various types of packaging
- Verify order accuracy, received goods, inventory, and deliveries
- Coordinate shipping tasks
- Perform daily warehouse inspections
- Maintain records, communicate relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation
- Monitor and control inventory items
- Safeguard the health and safety of your team and the work environment by maintaining a clean, safe workplace and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment
- Comply with regulations governing the transport of dangerous goods and WHMIS, as well as other company policies and regulations
- Ensure your team follows company policies and procedures
- Execute transactional processes in a warehouse management system (SAP)
- Provide training and monitor its effectiveness
- Sort and distribute operational documents
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma (DES) and one to three (1–3) years of experience as a supervisor or team lead
- Team player with reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a safety-first mindset
- Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- Detail-oriented, alert, and thorough
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and SAP
- Prior forklift experience and experience or knowledge of chemicals are assets
- Unionized environment experience is an asset
- Experience and knowledge of TDG and WHMIS are considered a strong asset.
