About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain AI-driven applications and services used internally across the firm.
  • Develop and deploy AI-powered workflows and systems that improve productivity, insight generation, and decision-making.
  • Work closely with product, data, and domain experts to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build reliable services, APIs, and pipelines to support AI use cases in production environments.
  • Apply best practices for developing, evaluating, and operating AI systems in live environments.
  • Integrate AI solutions with existing internal tools, data platforms, and workflows.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, well-documented, observable, and aligned with internal governance standards.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term evolution of the firm’s internal AI platform.
  • Stay current with developments in AI engineering practices and emerging approaches, bringing relevant innovation into the business.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a software engineer, AI engineer, or applied machine learning engineer working on production systems.
  • Experience building end-to-end applications that incorporate AI or data-driven components.
  • Solid engineering fundamentals, including modern software development practices and patterns.
  • Designing and operating APIs and backend services.
  • Working with both structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining systems in cloud or distributed environments.
  • Understanding of how to design, evaluate, and operate AI-driven workflows in production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take solutions from concept through to deployment and iteration.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-growth environment with a high degree of ownership.
  • Clear communicator able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
