About the role
- Building your own commercial loan portfolio by prospecting for new Food, Beverage & Agribusiness opportunities
- Growing revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting new business and making appropriate referrals
- Maintaining a portfolio by calling on customers to expand existing business, ensure excellent client relations & proper servicing of account(s)
- Developing a sound understanding of the industry types served and the key players within these industries
- Managing loan & portfolio credit quality
- Negotiating credit arrangements and preparing credit memoranda and supporting documentation for presentation to the loan committee
- Collaborating with commercial clients to better understand their business and financial needs
- Analyzing the business to qualify clients for bank products and services
- Mentoring less experienced Commercial Banking Associates
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales experience with 2+ years in Commercial Bank/Food, Beverage & Agribusiness experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Curiosity about how companies work and the willingness to help them grow and remain successful
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit, bank products, services, underwriting and bank operations.
