About the role
- Report to Legal Counsel and join the Finance team
- Understand company strategy and identify potential legal issues across jurisdictions
- Create processes from scratch to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance
- Provide assistance to internal team on dunning debtors
- Review all company contracts and suggest modifications to defend Ukio’s interests
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guarantee Ukio’s protection
- Ensure compliance with corporate bylaws, shareholder and investment agreements and assist in future capital raises
- Protect Ukio brand and intellectual property
- Provide aid to tax efforts
- Guarantee compliance with GDPR
- Assist main Legal Counsel coordinating ISO, SOC 2 or other necessary certifications
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in general legal counsel
- Degree in legal (law degree)
- Ability to understand legal implications across functions (generalist, not specialist)
- Good negotiating skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Rigorous, organized and strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
