About the role

  • Build and grow our bank partner relationship, resulting in consistent referral production
  • Daily utilization and updating of Salesforce as a CRM tool
  • Develop profitable new business account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts by selling Merchant Services (Visa/MC/Discover/American Express processing) to Small/Medium Size businesses
  • Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services
  • Learn and develop expert-level knowledge of company products and services
  • Present to prospective clients informing them of benefits of using the organization's products and services to meet their needs
  • Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
  • Receive guidance and training in a remote environment and achieve daily objectives as set forth by your manager
  • Travel in-market 3-4 days per week to meet prospective clients and bank partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Two to three years of relevant sales experience
  • Ability to travel 3-4 days per week in market (overnights rarely required)
  • No experience with Merchant Services required; strong sales experience and willingness to learn
  • Expert knowledge of product marketing, client service issues and organization operations (preferred)
  • Excellent marketing, business development/sales and negotiating skills (preferred)
  • Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures and pass background checks; participation in E-Verify where applicable
