About the role
- Lead, coach, and develop an operations team responsible for Wealth Banking Services client support
- Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback and development
- Manage staffing levels, workflow distribution, and capacity planning to meet SLAs in a high-growth environment
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee daily execution of client servicing activities, including: Teller-type transactions, Wire transfers, Loan payments, Account opening and maintenance, Ongoing client service requests
- Ensure operational processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and accounting requirements impacting Wealth Management and Securities Services
- Maintain strong operational controls and documentation
- Partner with compliance, risk, and audit teams as needed
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Wealth Management, Operations, and leadership teams
- Communicate effectively with peers and leaders regarding performance, capacity, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support change initiatives related to growth, process optimization, and systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
- Three to five years of management experience
- Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
- Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred
