About the role
- Develop and execute strategy for Twilio's API Gateway and Developer Experience products globally.
- Collaborate within the Twilio Technology Platform to shape the platform supporting Twilio's global communications services.
- Work on API design, developer experience, planning and prioritizing sprints, defining the product roadmap and spec-ing out new features and product enhancements.
- Create and contribute to the roadmap for your product area.
- Communicate both the business and technical rationale behind product decisions.
- Define and report product metrics; be data driven.
- Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, write copy and express ideas to engineers, designers and product managers.
- Work with engineering teams and provide consistent product support to ship products.
- Engage with the developer community to understand improvements, increase functionality and unlock new uses.
- Occasionally travel to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience envisioning and building resilient, high-throughput services and products.
- Ability to work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
- Be able to contribute to the management of your products from both a technical and business perspective.
- The ability to ship quality products in a fast-paced environment; experience working directly with engineers and engineering management.
- Strong technical background.
- Hands on, passionate, and collaborative.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and are data driven.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Coding experience through academic, professional, or personal projects (desired).
- Experience with REST API industry standards, SDK best practices (desired).
- Experience in developing large-scale, enterprise-grade APIs for PaaS and SaaS platforms, including API gateways, SDK development, and infrastructure (desired).
- A Master in Engineering or Technology degree is preferred (desired).
- This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
