Develop and execute strategy for Twilio's API Gateway and Developer Experience products globally.
Collaborate within the Twilio Technology Platform to shape the platform supporting Twilio's global communications services.
Work on API design, developer experience, planning and prioritizing sprints, defining the product roadmap and spec-ing out new features and product enhancements.
Create and contribute to the roadmap for your product area.
Communicate both the business and technical rationale behind product decisions.
Define and report product metrics; be data driven.
Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, write copy and express ideas to engineers, designers and product managers.
Work with engineering teams and provide consistent product support to ship products.
Engage with the developer community to understand improvements, increase functionality and unlock new uses.
Occasionally travel to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
Requirements
4+ years of experience envisioning and building resilient, high-throughput services and products.
Ability to work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
Be able to contribute to the management of your products from both a technical and business perspective.
The ability to ship quality products in a fast-paced environment; experience working directly with engineers and engineering management.
Strong technical background.
Hands on, passionate, and collaborative.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and are data driven.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Coding experience through academic, professional, or personal projects (desired).
Experience with REST API industry standards, SDK best practices (desired).
Experience in developing large-scale, enterprise-grade APIs for PaaS and SaaS platforms, including API gateways, SDK development, and infrastructure (desired).
A Master in Engineering or Technology degree is preferred (desired).
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
