Customer Success Manager

• Lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of enterprise CRM and workflow automation platforms

• Architect and perform systems design for web portals, customer communication tools, and workflow management software featuring bidirectional integrations.
• Bridge organizational boundaries to design systems that support new product initiatives and core business simultaneously.
• Be a hands-on developer to define, design, build, integrate, deploy, monitor, and maintain/sustain solutions from ideation to production.
• Be fluent in AI technologies with hands-on experience in using productivity enhancing tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, others, with demonstrable performance and velocity improvements for both project teams and ability to cross-pollinate across the organization.
• Prefer a buy over build with integration mindset for technology roadmap.
• Ability to evaluate pros and cons of vendor solutions that match business requirements, and be able to articulate tradeoffs and risks.
• Work alongside IT leadership to ensure software is responsive, highly available, and capable of handling increasing user loads.
• Maintain and optimize existing portal functionality while identifying opportunities for new feature development and system integrations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Project/Program Managers, Product Managers, and development teams to translate operational needs and business requirements into technical requirements while ensuring all solutions align with long term corporate and overall technology organization goals.
• Collaborate with core product architects and technical leads to validate assumptions and work items to ensure “fit to purpose”, scalability, maintainability, and observability of all solutions.
• Lead the technical planning and delivery phases of software projects, ensuring modern web and cloud technologies are utilized effectively.
• Ensure technical dependencies, blockers, risks, etc are documented and communicated to stakeholders.

Principal Software Engineer

Paralegal

• Be a vital part of the Corporate Legal team by managing Trupanion’s worldwide subsidiaries and parent company governance.
• Lead the maintenance for our parent company and global subsidiaries, including managing and updating our entity management platform, preparing board of directors and committee meeting materials (drafting resolutions, minutes, written consents, agendas, preparing meeting packages), assisting our Regulatory team with regulatory filings, and maintaining the related-parties list.
• Support securities law compliance and SEC reporting for our public company filings, including preparing timelines, assisting our finance colleagues with quarterly audit matters, supporting attorneys on filings, managing Section 16 compliance (including preparing and filing Section 16 forms), and assisting with 10b5-1 Plan trading compliance and our insider trading program.
• Assist with our proxy statement, annual meeting and year-end processes, including preparing and managing timelines, preparing and distributing D&O questionnaires, assisting with drafting the proxy statement and collecting support for disclosures (including compensation tables) and coordinating review with internal teams and the board.
• Manage the relationship with our transfer agent, including preparation of instruction and opinion letters.
• Assist with strategic corporate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, closing mechanics, and post-closing integration, as applicable.
• Manage intellectual property record keeping matters and serve as main point of contact with trademark counsel, to include working with internal business owners on pending trademark applications (obtain status updates or specimen support to provide to trademark counsel).
• Organize and maintain corporate records, minute books, and our entity management database.
• Pitch in on other special projects as needed - flexibility and a willingness to contribute in both small and big ways is important.

Senior Corporate Paralegal

General Counsel

• Provide authoritative and comprehensive legal services meeting the commercial and strategic needs of the business
• Advise on legal and regulatory risks and mitigation strategies, and supporting good governance through appropriate discussion and escalation of issues
• Manage the subsidiary corporate governance and compliance for our Canadian operations across all Canadian provinces (including Quebec)
• Draft and review contracts relating to the insurance-specific operations of the subsidiaries
• Assist with evolving regulatory compliance matters in the Canadian legal environment; conduct research across the subsidiary operating jurisdictions
• Develop legal and compliance training, as needed
• Help maintain and develop policies, standards, and checklists
• Identify and analyze new legislation and proactively propose and implement solutions
• Ensure compliance with applicable provincial, territorial, and federal insurance laws and regulations
• Support internal stakeholders with clear, practical legal advice tailored to business needs
• Participate in vendor management, including reviewing terms and ensuring legal and regulatory risks are mitigated
• Participate in cross-functional compliance projects
• Provide regulatory and compliance support and advisement in the areas of sales, complaint handling, and licensing

• Partnering with U.S. insurance regulators on regulatory matters, including inquiries, market conduct examinations, and financial examinations
• Further enhancing strong relationships with U.S. regulators
• Lead a team of regulatory attorneys and compliance professionals
• Collaborate with our actuarial and finance teams to design and file new products, product changes, and financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state insurance laws and regulations
• Oversee team licensing individuals and entities
• Assisting with audits, both internally and of our business partners
• Partnering with business owners to design and implement business initiatives in a fully compliant manner that achieves the company’s objectives
