About the role
- Negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements across a global customer and supplier base.
- Provide clear, sound, timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure and negotiate new business deals.
- Exercise sound judgment on when to make independent decisions and when to seek guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve standard agreements and processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Stay up to date on current laws and best practices as they relate to Trulioo to mitigate risk.
Requirements
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 4+ years of experience gained at a top tier law firm and/or relevant in-house experience.
- Flexible, collaborative and adaptable working style.
- Growth-oriented mindset and a natural curiosity to tackle challenges.
- Ability to multiple files and pivot as necessary to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, sound judgement, and solid negotiation skills.
- Commitment to excellence and a strong sense of accountability.
- Experience supporting commercial transactions in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is an asset.
