About the role
- Perform SOX planning and testing and support special, operational audits and projects as assigned.
- Develop skills in risk identification and assessment, control testing, fraud test procedures, data analysis, and analytics.
- Design the audit program and execute testing throughout the year; identify financial accounting and business process risks.
- Document findings, evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, and recommend remediation plans with timelines.
- Perform and document walkthroughs and operating effectiveness testing of financial processes; perform financial review procedures.
- Develop, document, and discuss findings, recommendations, and timelines for corrective action with stakeholders and monitor implementation status.
- Liaise with external auditors and support management in responding to external audit requests and questions.
- Ensure successful completion of work within prescribed timeframes.
Requirements
- Around 7 to 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
- Previous public accounting (4+ years, preferably Big 4) is a firm requirement.
- CPA or equivalent a must.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Must have US SEC Registrant Internal Controls (SOX) experience.
- Proven ability to multitask multiple audits at once.
- Ability to run SOX audits independently (manager-level candidate).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and highly organized.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn on a continuous basis.
- Ability to multi-task as you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with multiple contacts.
