About the role
- Supports the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group and is assigned to designated client matters, projects, and attorneys.
- Manages a high-volume docket of commercial bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for attorneys, clients, trustees, and court personnel on assigned matters, under attorney supervision.
- Research, investigate, analyze, and summarize facts and factual issues relevant to the practice area.
- Draft and prepare bankruptcy pleadings and related documents, including petitions and fee applications.
- Track critical deadlines, hearings, and case milestones, maintaining effective case management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Minimum eight (8) years of paralegal experience in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice areas.
- Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program beneficial.
- Experience utilizing database and file management systems, such as iManage and other records management platforms.
- Experience utilizing restructuring financial research tools, including Reorg, Debtwire, and Capital IQ.
