About the role

  • Reconcile data from the Property Management System with accounting records in DATEV
  • Verify and reconcile revenues, accounts receivable activity and payment flows between the hotel system, accounting department and bank accounts
  • Reconcile credit card payments, transit accounts and outstanding items
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in close coordination with the hotels and your team
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes
  • Prepare reconciliation documentation, account statements and reports
  • Collect and prepare statistical data — especially HR, rooms and energy — for further processing
  • Validate and plausibilize reported statistical data in coordination with the hotels

Requirements

  • Interest in numbers, processes and system-supported workflows
  • Structured, accurate and reliable working style
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in coordinating with hotels and internal stakeholders
  • Some or solid experience in accounting, hotel administration or hotel operations is an advantage
  • Exposure to DATEV, hotel systems, accounts receivable/outstanding items, account reconciliations or periodic closing tasks is a plus
  • Good understanding of the relationship between hotel operations and financial accounting
