About the role
- Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for collaboration within the SketchUp ecosystem
- Serve as the product owner for the Real-Time Collaboration team, guiding features from conception to launch
- Engage regularly with customers to understand collaboration workflows and challenges (User Advocacy)
- Manage the product development lifecycle: backlog management, prioritization, and trade-offs to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Partner with engineering, UX design, product marketing, sales, and customer success to create cohesive go-to-market strategies and cross-functional alignment
- Communicate and influence stakeholders including fellow product managers and executive leadership
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to define success metrics, measure impact, and guide product decisions
- Transform SketchUp into a connected, multiplayer medium across desktop, web, and mobile platforms
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a product owner or product manager
- A deep passion for and experience with collaborative or multiplayer software products (preferred)
- Experience with SketchUp in architecture, construction, or other fields, including proficiency with its desktop, web, and mobile applications (preferred)
- Broad experience with 3D modeling, CAD or other design authoring tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Blender, Figma) (preferred)
- Strong understanding of the 3D design landscape or experience in the AEC industry (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to extract key insights from customer research and user testing (preferred)
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies for subscription-based products (preferred)
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority (preferred)
- Experience building products across multiple platforms (Desktop, Web, iOS, Android) (preferred)
- Technical acumen and comfort engaging in deep technical discussions with engineers (preferred)
- Experience with SAFe or other agile development processes is a plus (preferred)
