As a Compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting with compliance initiatives with specific focus on regulatory change management.
This role is responsible for supporting strategies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
In addition, you will be accountable for raising awareness on compliance matters.
With guidance and oversight, assist in providing information for non-financial market regulatory activities, including market conduct exams, interrogatories, surveys, and data calls.
Maintain awareness of matters related to compliance with laws, regulations, applicable company policies, and ethical behavior.
Review and communicate new or revised laws, regulations, bulletins, and regulatory publications of applicable to Travelers business.
Provide support to applicable business partners on assigned legal/regulatory change matters to implement and/or modify business processes, systems, or workflows to ensure compliance.
Monitor, track and respond to inquiries from business partners and third parties pertaining to regulatory changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Three years prior experience with state jurisdictional guidelines, regulations, and procedures.
Ability to analyze and understand laws and regulations as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to actively listen and empathize and pay attention to detail and clearly convey information to various audiences.
Relationship building skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners and build rapport.
Ability to manage time and competing priorities and provide management with accurate and timely status information.
Analyze information using reasoning and judgment to make decisions and solve problems.
Two years of relevant business, compliance, and/or regulatory experience.
