About the role

  • Identify and prioritise target operators, authorities, and institutions across Europe
  • Develop a clear market-entry plan for priority markets, accounts, and stakeholders
  • Build relationships from initial contact through to senior stakeholder level (Director / C-level)
  • Initiate and develop strategic conversations that lead to commercial opportunities
  • Progress opportunities through complex, multi-stakeholder environments, procurement processes, and policy contexts
  • Lead deal structuring and negotiations through to signed agreements
  • Use your network, events, and direct outreach to generate access to decision-makers
  • Personally lead opportunities from first engagement through to deal closure, working hands-on and with a high degree of autonomy throughout.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of selling into European rail organisations and navigating long-cycle commercial processes in regulated environments
  • Proven experience with public procurement, tender processes, and how policy and institutional stakeholders influence buying decisions
  • Proven track record of opening doors and engaging senior stakeholders (Director / C-level)
  • An established network across European rail operators, authorities, institutions, or industry bodies
  • Strong understanding of who the buyers, influencers, and decision-makers are within rail organisations, including formal and informal decision-making structures
  • Ability to develop a clear commercial plan and execute it independently
  • Strong commercial judgement, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability and willingness to do the work directly without a sales team around you
