About the role

  • Grow, stabilise, and mature the PMO, creating a centre of excellence for project delivery.
  • Define, implement, and maintain standardised delivery processes, frameworks, and governance models across all accounts.
  • Collaborate with technical Practices to design and embed repeatable, standardised delivery plans for packaged service offerings.
  • Introduce and enforce repeatable methodologies, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project financial and scope management to ensure predictable outcomes.
  • Drive adoption of quality assurance practices including health checks, risk management, and audits.
  • Lead PMO hiring strategies to expand and scale the delivery organisation.
  • Manage the resource scheduling and allocation function for optimal utilisation.
  • Partner with department leads to forecast demand and align staffing plans.
  • Establish capacity planning models and maintain visibility of bottlenecks and requirements.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to ensure projects are scoped, deliverable, and profitable.
  • Participate in bid reviews, solution shaping, and proposal development.
  • Contribute to statements of work, estimates, and engagement governance.
  • Lead the creation of a PMO Apprentice Scheme to recruit and develop junior delivery talent.
  • Work with People & Culture to design training materials and mentoring structures.
  • Promote continuous learning and capability development across the delivery organisation.
  • Act as senior delivery authority, reporting PMO performance and project health to the executive team.
  • Build strong internal and client relationships to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Champion a customer-centric, delivery-first culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading PMO or Delivery functions in a technology-led environment.
  • Extensive experience delivering complex technical and business change programmes for enterprise customers, ideally with global systems integrators (GSIs).
  • Demonstrated experience creating, transforming, or optimising PMO operations.
  • Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies.
  • Excellent financial acumen and project forecasting skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in building high-performing teams and developing early-career talent.
  • Experience supporting sales cycles and shaping commercial propositions.
