About the role
- Owning International Carrier Liability balances by preparing reconciliations, identifying variances and recommending solutions
- Being a key point of contact for queries and negotiations with internal country supply managers and external Carrier partners
- Preparing and presenting monthly and periodic analysis of creditor movements
- Ownership of Carrier Liability budgeting and forecasting
- Mapping and simplification of current Balance Sheet processes and implementation of improvements
- Developing and documenting controls around carrier liability reconciliations
- Demonstrate continuous process improvement and work with others to streamline key processes
- Business partner across the Management Accounts, Commercial Finance, Data and Controls and Group Reporting teams
- Lead by example and promote Trainline behaviours
Requirements
- Qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA
- 2+ PQ years’ experience and strong financial accounting experience
- Proficiency in a European language (French, Italian, Spanish, or German) is desirable, but not required
- Experience operating with an enterprise-wide, integrated finance system across multiple business units
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
