About the role
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies aligned with company growth goals and market opportunities.
- Partner with the VP of Sales to set sales targets, OKRs, and quotas, tracking progress and driving accountability.
- Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Forecast, commit and deliver sales targets.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales and business development professionals, providing ongoing guidance and feedback.
- Recruit, hire, and train new team members, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with training and HR resources to develop a robust and outcome oriented onboarding process that yields sales team members that achieve quota within 6 months of hire.
- Manage and refine outbound prospecting strategies in partnership with Business Development Reps.
- Use a consultative, Same Side Selling oriented approach to understand prospects’ desired results, issues, and impacts to their business, tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Position TradeCentric’s value proposition with key decision makers and guide deals through the full sales cycle to closure.
- Partner with Marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns, measuring and optimizing results.
- Represent TradeCentric at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to drive brand awareness and generate leads.
- Share insights with leadership on market trends, customer challenges, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy.
- Provide feedback to the Product team to influence product enhancements and ensure solutions remain competitive.
- Collaborate across functions to streamline sales processes and remove barriers to success.
- Maintain accurate CRM data (pipeline stages, client information, win/loss reasons, etc.) to ensure reliable reporting.
- Proactively support cross-team initiatives and contribute to the overall success of TradeCentric.
Requirements
- 3+ years of B2B sales management experience in SaaS, iPaaS, or web technology solutions, with a track record of exceeding quotas.
- Expertise managing multi-stakeholder, complex sales cycles from prospecting to close.
- Experience leading Business Development teams and implementing effective outbound strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to senior executives.
- Strategic thinker and problem-solver, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of modern sales methodologies with a preference for Same Side Selling (or similar consultative approaches).
- Preferred: Experience in eCommerce software technologies or data integration.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Salesloft, Gong, Seamless.ai, or similar sales tools.
- Preferred: Formal training or demonstrated application of structured sales methodologies (Same Side Selling strongly preferred).
