• Create high quality animations for cinematics and marketing material.
• Innovate our cinematic animation pipeline.
• Accomplish realistic results that create memorable scenes and impactful moments in trailers.
• Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team, participating in team reviews and creative discussions
• Design and polish character performances for both pre-rendered and real-time cinematics.
• Ensure cinematic content aligns with the visual style, tone, and creative vision of the project.
• Create and maintain animation documentation, workflows, and best practices for the cinematic team.
• Integrate and troubleshoot animation assets within Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless implementation.
• Work with motion capture data, including cleanup, retargeting, editing, and performance enhancement.
• Partner with Technical Animators to improve cinematic tools, rigs, and animation pipelines.
• Manage end-to-end motion capture workflows, from shoot planning through final animation polish.
• Mentor junior animators and contribute to team knowledge sharing initiatives.

Cinematic Animator

Director

• Define and drive the overall technical vision and architecture of the studio, ensuring alignment with the studio’s creative vision.
• Own the technical quality of our games, including performance, scalability, stability, and maintainability.
• Lead and support the technical leadership team, including Technical Leads, Principals, and Senior Engineers, through weekly check-ins, performance management, career development, and goal setting.
• Guide technical decision-making across teams, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term sustainability and tech debt management.
• Oversee the development and evolution of core systems, tools, pipelines, and engine technology (i.e. Unreal Engine).
• Partner with Production and Leadership to identify technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure predictable delivery.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes across the studio.
• Own technical resourcing and team structure, ensuring the right expertise is applied to the highest-priority challenges.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and development of the programming department, building and retaining a high-performing team.
• Balance creative excellence, technical requirements, team sustainability, and production goals to deliver high-quality game experiences.
• Foster strong relationships across departments, breaking down silos and promoting collaboration to achieve studio-wide objectives.
• Drive a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and growth.

• Lead and support a team of design experts through performance management, career development, weekly check-ins, and goal setting.
• Define and manage milestones for the Design team while balancing employee well being and business needs.
• Monitor team progress and proactively adjust plans to keep initiatives on track.
• Identify and improve workflows and task-related processes to increase efficiency and team performance.
• Effectively communicate with team members and leadership to proactively resolve conflicts and deliver solutions.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and highly engaged team culture while maintaining accountability and continuous feedback.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across departments, breaking down silos and promoting collaboration to achieve studio-wide objectives.
• Champion employee development through mentorship and learning opportunities.
• Depending on experience and interest, there is also an opportunity to act as the design owner for the design space surrounding PvE Encounter Design, Bot AI Design, and Bot Combat Rules within the project.
