About the role

This is an exciting time to join our Strategic Housing & Delivery Service.
We are looking for a passionate, driven, housing delivery specialist.
Someone that has a social housing delivery background that can help us unlock stalled sites, acquire land and buildings, and deliver newbuild council homes, all of which will help us sustainably and consistently grow our affordable housing delivery rates over coming years.
Above all, though, we are looking for a dedicated individual that can help us to help the residents of Torbay to secure somewhere to live that is good quality, and affordable.
We are looking for a creative thinker; a problem solver; and someone that can help us use every tool at our disposal to deliver the homes our residents need.

Please demonstrate your experience of leading newbuild social housing projects, from inception through to completion.
Please outline your experience of leading or working on regeneration projects that deliver mixed use/residential development (or re-development).
As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Benefits

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent); or minimum of 3 (preferably 5) years working in social housing delivery for a Local Authority or Registered Provider.
Professional membership (or eligibility to become a member) with one of the following: RICS, CIH, APM, RTPI.
