About the role
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets
- Prospect and qualify new leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to healthcare professionals
- Research customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, contracts, and financing options
- Negotiate terms and close sales agreements
- Collaborate with Clinical Application Specialists, Field Service Technicians, and customer service representatives
- Basic installation of some equipment and full training of customers in use of equipment required
- Working trade shows on occasional weekends and evenings for conferences and events is required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Business/Health/related field or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of success in medical device sales
- Strong understanding of Ophthalmology/Optometry and diagnostic imaging processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Required to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory and to conferences in Canada/USA as needed
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs for equipment setup
- Must hold a current, valid unrestricted driver’s license and updated passport
