About the role
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain solutions on the ServiceNow platform for Compass.
- Build and enhance capabilities across Employee Center, WSD, HAM, HRSD, ITSM, and SAM.
- Develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI components, catalog items, integrations, and custom applications.
- Design and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, and related web technologies.
- Work with HTTP, AJAX, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to deliver robust integrations and user experiences.
- Collaborate with product owners, process leads, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate needs into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code, while helping reduce technical debt.
- Perform testing, deployment support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and team knowledge sharing.
- Ensure solutions align with ITIL principles, internal controls, security expectations, and governance standards.
Requirements
- Preferred 4–6 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in hands-on ServiceNow development in a complex enterprise environment.
- - Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform development and configuration.
- - Experience in one or more modules: Employee Center, WSD, HAM, HRSD, ITSM, and SAM.
- - Strong development skills using JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting capabilities.
- - Experience designing and maintaining integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
- - Good understanding of HTTP, AJAX, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- - Experience with AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery, Apache Jelly, or React.
- - Strong coding skills in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- - Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- - Strong problem-solving capability, including debugging, optimization, and technical issue resolution.
- - Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
