About the role
- At Tilt (formerly Empower), build mobile-first, ML-powered credit products recognizing potential beyond traditional credit scores
- Own work-streams across credit policy, testing, and valuations for the Philippines lending business, Cashalo
- Partner with product, tech, finance, data science, and leadership teams to implement solutions and refine business plans
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, monitor portfolio performance, benchmark against industry standards, and influence credit models
- Travel to North America twice per year and the Philippines ~3 times per year for company onsites (expenses covered)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in strategic data analytics, with a focus on using data to solve complicated and ambiguous problems - familiarity with lending / credit industry preferred but not required
- Highly proficient in SQL, and Excel for data analysis, automation, and performance reporting - Python familiarity preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on data driven story-telling for wide audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
- Location: candidate must be available starting 9am Philippines time, and based in a time zone GMT+5 or later (Philippines, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, etc)
