About the role
- Operate and maintain VMware (vSphere / ESXi) and KVM-based environments
- Monitor performance, capacity, and availability
- Handle incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and troubleshoot complex issues
- Ensure high availability, reliable backups, and disaster recovery readiness
- Plan and execute hypervisor and firmware patching
- Coordinate maintenance while minimizing service impact
- Maintain compliance with security and operational standards
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
- Experience with KVM is a strong plus (RHEL, oVirt, Proxmox, OpenStack, libvirt)
- Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows Server
- Experience with patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting in production environments
- Understanding of virtual networking and storage
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, APIs)
