About the role

  • Oversee and direct the Due Diligence process for all product lines, assessing potential business portfolios for asset portability
  • Exhibit and uphold a thorough understanding of product, processes, and capabilities relevant to broker dealers and registered inve stment advisors (RIAs).
  • Stay s updated on industry competitive intelligence, including benchmarking and analysis
  • Provides strategic assessment of the experienced Advisors’ book and helps to craft the most efficient path forward for moving from the Advisor’s predecessor firm to TIMI
  • Remain s apprised of current industry trends and research on broker protocol and any other topics pertaining to the movement of Advisors between firms in the financial services industry
  • Work s closely with due diligence analysts and use s industry knowledge to inform the offering strategy of the various broker-dealer and investment advisory products based on F A and client experience.
  • Maintains understanding of recruiting trends and offerings within and across industry channels
  • Understands the needs of the F A s and their clients to assist them in determining appropriate investment product solution strategies.
  • Work s jointly with other Thrivent departments to bring expertise and solutions to the F A s .
  • Well-versed in the financial pro forma P&L associated with the Advisor’s transition and brings experience relative to any financial incentive program such as a forgivable loan program, bonus or transition program
  • Develop s enhanced relationships with incoming experienced F A s to assist in coaching and mentoring F A s to enhance productivity and business efficiency.
  • Work s with appropriate parties to be an advocate for the needs of the F As.

Requirements

  • College degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of successful industry experience
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer
  • Demonstrated in- depth knowledge and expertise related to experienced Advisor recruiting
  • Demonstrated and in- depth knowledge of advanced sales solutions
  • Understanding of different distribution channels
  • Expert level of knowledge about financial markets and the investment industry
  • Expert level of knowledge about all programs and services available to F A s through the brokerage platform as well as those available direct to provider
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
  • Ability to transfer knowledge in a manner that motivates F A s to take action
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and human relations skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs and act quickly taking ownership of decisions that are made
  • Ability to work across the organization and influence others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery
  • MBA Financial services advanced desigation - ( i . e. ChFC , CFP, CAIA)
