About the role

  • Lead the operational strategy component for assigned clinical trial proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Therapeutic Unit representatives, feasibility teams, clinical operations, and finance to develop competitive, feasible study delivery plans.
  • Participate in proposal kickoff meetings to gather client requirements and ensure strategic considerations are integrated throughout the proposal process.
  • Translate the commercial win strategy into a clear operational approach, identifying delivery assumptions, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for the operational sections of proposals, coordinating input from cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to bid defense preparations, including development of key operational messages and supporting materials.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members involved in proposal delivery.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of operational strategy processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research or clinical trial operations, with at least 2 years in proposal strategy, feasibility, or project management.
  • Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial lifecycle, operational planning, and proposal development.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Previous experience supporting RFPs, bid defenses, or business development activities.
  • Familiarity with multiple therapeutic areas and global clinical operations.
  • Experience working in CRO, biotech, or pharma settings.
