About the role

  • Provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for sophisticated analytical and microscopy equipment
  • Deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, universities, and industrial facilities
  • Resolve complex issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure optimal system performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field and 5+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing complex analytical instruments or Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for hardware and software issues
  • Demonstrated expertise with ultra-high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports
  • Effectively train and support customers with equipment operation
  • Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Experience mentoring and training others preferred
  • Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various laboratory environments
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
