About the role

  • As HR Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be a strategic business partner supporting organizational success through effective people strategies.
  • Working closely with senior leadership, you'll translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives that help build and retain a talented, diverse workforce.
  • You'll guide organizational development efforts across global teams, facilitate change management, and cultivate an inclusive culture built on our 4i values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement).
  • This position requires a thoughtful approach to talent management, using data-driven insights to enhance business capabilities while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
  • You'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on complex HR matters, from performance management to organizational design, supporting business growth through effective people strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • 8 years of experience in comprehensive HR experience in large multinational organizations, with demonstrated success as an HR business partner
  • PHR/SPHR or other professional HR certifications desirable
  • Ability to translate business strategies into effective HR solutions and organizational actions
  • Experience building and leading teams in a global matrix environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions including talent acquisition, total rewards, organizational development, and employee relations
  • Demonstrated success implementing change management initiatives and organizational design solutions
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
  • Advanced project management, analytical, and data interpretation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Business acumen with ability to link HR strategies to business outcomes
  • Expertise in contemporary HR practices and employment law
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate high emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and coach senior leaders
  • Travel up to 25-30% internationally as needed
